Statement

The project focuses on the concept of interweaving and combination as means of achieving a successful mix. An interweave requires the close relationship of combined parts as a way of creating a unity, an integral body. The sunrise trailer park community already functions as one.

The interweaving is generated in the inside and outside of the dwellings. In both cases the common organizing patterns get modified by direct combinations of normal functions. Functions get compacted, space becomes a share commodity, the result is always [in] tensioned. The user will be able to apply It’s personal living dynamics into a dwelling unique in organization and spatial experience. All of the floor plans would be different.

The construction system is combined. A office building system for infrastructure, steel beams and columns and concrete slabs, and generic wood frame for all of the condominiums. Forms of typological repetition that permit the use of standard and commercial materials, with a strong bond in the collective memory but combined in a way that mind and senses are freshly stimulated.
